This batch of order was particularly comprehensive, comprising three distinct product categories: galvanized and PVC coated chain link mesh rolls, barbed wire coils, and galvanized welded wire mesh rolls. This case study details the manufacturing, quality control, and packaging processes that ensure our customer receives exactly what they need.
The buyer is a long-standing customer from Lithuania who has repeatedly chosen Skyhall Fence for their fencing material needs. For this latest batch, the customer ordered a variety of fencing products for what we understand to be multiple end-use applications, demonstrating their confidence in our ability to deliver a comprehensive fencing solution.
Their order included three main product types, each with its own distinct specifications and intended applications. We will detail the main specifications for each type of product bellow.
This product forms the backbone of many fencing applications. The galvanized chain link fence offers excellent corrosion resistance and durability, suitable for perimeter security and demarcation. The specifications for this product have been tailored to the customer’s requirements.
This dark green coating (RAL 6005 is a widely recognized standard color for green PVC coatings in the fencing industry) provides not only enhanced protection against corrosion but also a more aesthetically pleasing and environmentally blended finish. This type of fence is particularly popular in projects where visual impact and long service life are key priorities. The PVC coating adds an extra layer of defense against the elements, ensuring the fence remains functional and attractive for years to come.
Galvanized barbed wire is usually applied to fence tops to upgrade the fencing security. It’s quite common to see the fence + barbed wire match in airports and power stations. Heavy duty treatment makes the barbed wire coils stay longer under harsh environments.
The third component of this multi-product order is the galvanized welded wire mesh. This material is known for its rigidity and strength, created by welding intersecting wires at each junction. It offers a more robust barrier compared to woven mesh and is often used in applications requiring a higher degree of security or containment, such as animal enclosures, industrial zones, or as a base for more complex fencing systems.
As our standard practice, we performed a strict series of quality control checks before packing and shipping. For a regular customer who expects nothing less than perfection, this step is crucial. A particularly important aspect of this quality check was the verification of the PVC coated chain link fence. A key measurement point for this type of product is the wire diameter before and after the PVC coating. For this order, we meticulously measured and compared the core wire diameter to the final overall diameter with the coating. This ensures that the PVC layer is applied evenly and to the correct thickness, which is vital for the product’s longevity and its ability to withstand environmental stress. This attention to this specific detail guarantees that the final product meets both our stringent internal standards and the customer’s expectations for long-term performance.

After the quality inspection is completed and signed off, we move to the crucial final step: packaging. Given that our customer in Lithuania is located across the continent, it is essential that the goods are packed securely to ensure they remain intact and in perfect condition upon arrival at the destination port.
To achieve this, we employ a tailored packaging strategy for each product type:
Chain Link Mesh Rolls: These are carefully wrapped with durable woven bags. This type of packaging protects the mesh from surface abrasion and prevents any damage during the loading and unloading processes or during transport.
Welded Wire Mesh Rolls: Recognizing that welded mesh is a more rigid and potentially more sensitive product, we wrap these rolls with a heavy-duty plastic film. This provides a waterproof and protective barrier, guarding against any moisture ingress and dirt accumulation during sea freight.
Small Accessories: The final category of goods includes all the necessary fittings and accessories, such as tension bars, bands, and tie wires. These small but vital components are packed securely in reinforced cartons. This prevents them from being lost or damaged, ensuring the customer has every single part needed for a complete installation.
By employing these dedicated packaging methods, we minimize the risk of damage, giving our customer the peace of mind that their investment is fully protected from our factory floor to their project site.
